Everyone Has A Purpose But Only The Chosen Master It
Martin Trey is a Senior at Tates Creek High school in Lexington, KY. He lives with his mother since his parents are now divorced. He used to also live in the same house with his brother, but he has now moved on to college. He thinks about college a lot now that his brother is going. But he doesn’t know what he wants to major in. He once wanted to be a pilot but that seems so far from reach now. He doesn’t even know if he’ll be able to get enough money to go to college. For now, he’s hoping his skills in football will be enough to get him a scholarship somewhere. For now, he cuts grass and watches cars during the summer for extra money and trains for football year-round.
But no matter if he’s training for football or doing different jobs for money you can be sure he always has a hoodie on and airpods in his ear. Recently he stumbled upon a podcast that showcased an Ex-NFL player from his favorite team the Eagles. He started to gain inspiration that he can make it to a higher place than where he’s from after listening to his story in the podcast. After that first episode he began to listen to other interviews on the podcast and gained even more reassurance that you can make it anywhere in the world and be anything you want to be, no matter where you come from.

How it started
High School
I am a curious, creative, outgoing, highly self-motivated type of person. These key characteristics are what took me through an unexpected wild ride in life to get here. Let us start this life story in high school. In high school I was an “athlete athlete” I played sports year-round, football, basketball, and track. In my free time I love to surf YouTube. Using it to find out new conspiracy theories. Watching the latest funny videos. While sometimes allegedly illegally downloading the newest Lil Wayne tracks to put on my mp3 player. In my senior year of high school, I participated in a male pageant for my school where I learned how much I loved performing on stage and on a mic.
College
When it came time to choose what college I was going to I chose EKU. Which was the only school I applied for. The hardest decision was figuring out what major I wanted to choose. I looked through the list and came across Aviation pro Flight. I thought that was the most interesting major on the sheet. Being able to learn how to fly would be amazing. Though I had never been on a plane before let alone at an airport. One my first week of college I was take to the airport outside Richmond and got on my first ever plane and flew it with my instructor. After two years of flight school, it started to become too expensive. So, I decided to take a year off and pick a new major.
The Break pt 1
When I came back to EKU I decided to major in communications. Throughout my next two years at EKU, I took classes in communications but fell in love with the broadcasting classes they offered in the department. After those two years I had to take off again for personal reasons. But that was what changed my destiny for the better.
During my second time off school. I got an intern a local radio station called 107.9 The Beat in my hometown of Lexington, Ky. Where I learned all the ins and outs of the radio business.
The Break Part 2
While there I was offered a chance to run my own radio show for a satellite radio station on the TuneIn app call Grind2Shine Radio. After running my own show that aired two times a week where I interviewed special guests with my cohost and talked about different news and gossip stories. The owner decided to call it quiets.
The Break Part 3
Right when this happened, I got another offer to run an online magazine. I knew nothing about running a magazine, but I seen it as a good opportunity to learn and get more experience in the media world. I ran this magazine as Editor In Chief until Covid shut down everything. But during the time running this magazine I conducted numerous interviews with up incoming artist. I taught myself photography and videography and covered a lot of different concerts and festivals. While also sharpening my writing and editing skills.
Present Day
After covid ended I decided to start my own online magazine called The Chosen Magazine. I also decided to finish school. So now here I am after this wild unpredictable ride through life!
The first segment Ethan King interviews me and asks questions about my work on the Chosen Magazine. The conversation takes a couple of twists and turns and leads to a discussion over different conspiracy theories. In the second segment I take over to ask Ethan some questions about his life in Berea where he enjoyed hiking and Walmart visits. Ethan also talks about his love for the Friday Night Lights or formally known as High School Football!
